Everything and Nothing

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

O’ I love for the birth of love,

That perfect, pure, hopeful moment

Where love first begins and is joined

Soon with lust of the purest kind

O’ of lust and o’ of love,

O’ of everything and o’ of nothing,

O’ of you and o’ of I,

For everything is nothing without love

In one’s life and lust of the purest sort;

Indeed, all love be sweet and true,

Whether it be required or otherwise

And all lust is pure and wondrous

Whether it be requited or otherwise,

O’ of everything and o’ of nothing,

O’ of me and o’ of you,

Take me away into your heart.
