In My Head

I can’t get you out of my head if I tried.

You sit there, writhing, conniving, whether for better or for worse.

I know you are with another, laying with them, whether in the grass or in the bed.

But you still fester in my brain, twisting my emotions for you.

You never even see me or notice me.

I cut myself and you don’t care

I write you notes, and you toss them

I ask you out and you walk away

I know you don’t care about me

But I care too much about you.
