In Time

By Matt Decker

In Time

The story unfolds and plays out.

In Time

Teary eyes behold the way out.

In Time

Hard lessons are uncomfortably learned.

In Time

Thrones comfortably sat on are overturned.

In Time

The monarch in the dark lost his crown.

In Time

The richly-stitched veil fell slowly down.

In Time

Thunder struck with a mighty rumble.

In Time

Wondrous structures weakened and crumbled.

In Time

The empowered empire declined.

In Time

Starfire will surefire cease to shine.

In Time

The hole will grow and expand.

In Time

The soul will know and understand.

In Time

A universe was sparked into life.

In Time

The cosmos will go dark and quiet.

• • •

Immortals exist ever outside of it.

Mortals wish to never run out of it.

Feet of man stand on a thin line.

Let us then do all that we can

• • •

In Time.
