The influence of majority rule
The effluent of selfishness
Population boom
Children born from excess
Everybody was lost
The pied piper sang his tune
And man followed foolishly
Curious and bored
With morality
He went quickly
Taking years to recover
The damage done
He hid in factories
And offices
Pedelling wheels of the machine
Believing in false comfort
Yet the template was laid down
And new generations
Took the blueprints of pleasure
And added to them
Until selfishness became normality
And desolation swept the land
