Life's Roller Coaster Ride

She held on tight as the roller coaster fell from the top of the highest drop,

Her heart in her throat as adrenaline ran through her body, tingling her every sense,

Unsure of how to react, she smiled and let out a scream of excitement,

A rush of pure euphoria overcame her as she screamed louder,

Scared but feeling powerful she threw her arms up, letting go of her support,

Flying through loops, the ups and downs, her excitement grew,

Her screams echoing through the amusement park, turning heads all around,

As the ride came to a stop, so did the screaming, her excitement fading,

Collecting herself, she shuffled off the ride and headed to the back of the line,

Waiting for what seemed like forever, just for a brief moment of pure bliss all over again.
