I sit watching the clouds curdle above my head,
My blue single eye running a glance over that one brown leaf,
My memory twists and turns like a huge wave knocking me off my feet.
My single eye become blurry as a tear comes running down my face;
And then more
As my face is caught by a rush of tears all running like it's a marathon.
I wipe the racers away needing to be one myself.
I look down,
My hands agitated on my lap, like dogs fighting over a piece of meat.
Until the realisation of needing to be the bigger ones rushes over me;
I stand up to go,
we relax in each other's arms like a blanket being wrapped safely around us.
