Pressure
By Jozay
Lost in my mind,
Struggling to find the words to describe how I feel,
The weight of my world crushes my chest,
Making it harder and harder to breathe each time,
Realities misgivings intensify,
I wonder when this will stop, will I make it through?
As the days, weeks, months go by,
Hopelessness becomes all too familiar,
I wonder why life brought me here,
Struggling to hold on, I remain hanging,
By a thread that should of snapped long ago,
I am thankful for the support, however small,
It keeps me from crashing to the ground.
I pause for a long moment and reflect,
Taking in the stillness around me,
I realize the commotion is within,
Focusing on what is around me,
Calmness starts to creep about,
I embrace the calm and exhale a deep breath,
Expelling all that was causing chaos within.
