A Song of Darkness and Light

The darkness beacons,

And calls to me,

As a murmur in the night,

A whisper in the shadows,

It hides in remote corners,

Of my mind and memory,

Wanting to be found,

Seeking out the light,

Wishing to corrupt it,

Many times it has tried,

And many times it has nearly,

Succeeded,

But it must be fought,

The light must prevail.
