Thoughts of us cross my mind,
It’s time to leave, my loves resigned,
No more dwelling on the past,
Sadness that would never last,
A story with a happy ending,
A heart that was worth defending,
Courage and strength that once felt lost,
Was taken for granted, my signals crossed,
Giant leaps into the great unknown,
Determination that has surely grown,
A smile that lights up the room,
A flower that has yet to bloom.
